Pets


This is a savannah. It is a hybrid between a Serval (African wild cat) and a domestic cat.

I'm always thinking of cool things I want after I get my own place. A very unique pet is one of these things. I originally wanted a Serval, but from reading about them, they seem like too big of a handful. Then I came across these guys.

Other than looking really cool, their temperament and other qualities sound good. Wiki says that they are loyal like dogs (which I don't entirely believe), very intelligent, and can jump extremely high (8 feet).

This post is a reminder to my future self, more than anything, that a pet such as this exists. Hopefully one day I can own one. They cost thousands of dollars so...time to get to work.

    Hahah have you seen their videos on YouTube?

    They're extremely cool, they're like little leopards though so think about whether you'd like having a little wildcat jumping around in your house.

    I'd just get a simple dog or cat first, and then I'd move onto more exotic though entirely domestic species when I felt I'm ready, like the domesticated silver fox which is a brand new development, a wolf-dog hybrid, or the numerous hybrid cat breeds out there.

    Not much of a cat person, but this definitely looks unique! I love aquariums; I have a 55 gallon mbuna tank right near my bed :D

    Actually, I'm thinking about getting an unusual pet myself.
    I was inspired a long time ago by the movie Fox & The Hound. Ever since I saw that, ages ago, I've wanted a pet fox.

    If you got a Serval, you'd have a cat that could jump like maaaaad! But this one can too, I guess. I always hesitate about getting animals that are mixed with more feral species, but it's a beautiful animal.

    I discovered these too about three months ago, and I really want one as well. I love cats, and it would be awesome to own one that could beat up a dog!

    i dont think cats can be anywhere near as loyal as dogs but at leats it wont smell and want to bite strangers all the time!

    I'm a dog person. In time i'll get a rescued dog from the shelter, always the best way to go I feel.
