Meaning of Life and other questions and answers.

Meaning of life? To reproduce. Priority 1 is to continue the human race, priority 2 is to continue your blood line.

Aliens exist? Chances are yes. There are probably around 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 planets. Of those, maybe 100000000000000 have conditions like Earth (suitable for life as we know it). That doesn't even include the potential for life as we don't know it. Also, these numbers are probably conservative.

What is love? An evolved form of the instinct "care for one's young". Especially necessary in humans, who must invest solely in 1-10 children to continue the bloodline, unlike fish and insects.

What is evolution? Process of elimination.

What happens when I die? Blank.

  1. Then there's the classic answer from Douglas Adams which tells us that the answer to life... is 42. We're just not asking the right question.

  5. All of this scares me. It's one of those things that you don't like to think about but you can't help but think about. And when you do, it just fucks with your entire perspective.

  12. Actually, genetics tell us that passing on your genes is the priority, continuation of race is simply an effect of that. Still, interesting post! Also, I need $upport, just sayin. :(

  13. I probably wouldn't put it so simple, but generally your answers are also my answers. There's one important question raised by them: so what do we do now? I mean, what can you do after finding out the meaning of life and all the other important answers? Play scrabble?

  14. I would say that knowledge and enlightenment are of equal priority to having children, at least. What's the point of having children if, for example, we don't have the ability to detect or divert an oncoming asteroid that will kill everyone? The universe is harsh, and I'd say that no amount of breeding can guarantee our survival moreso than knowledge and wisdom.
