What Wealth Means To Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9OxtHEYIjE&feature=related
TLDW: Muhammad Ali says he buys nice and expensive things not because he loves wealth, but because wealth is respected. If a modest church that preaches the word of God faithfully goes against a diamond studded church that preaches more poorly, the diamond studded church would get most of the followers. Gives them a cheap way to look wealthy. So when Ali pulls up in his diamond car next to another black man in a diamond car, the black man would respect him when he invites him to his church, rather than immediately dismiss him for lack of wealth.
It all makes sense right? But it really shouldn't. I've seen enough wealthy people with enormous amounts of problems. Wealth is NOT happiness after a certain point, and that certain point is within pretty much anyone's range.
Anyway, I'm trying to wake up early now. Been waking up way too late.

LAziness
I wonder where I lie on the laziness spectrum in terms of the human race.
Laziness being defined as: Not doing things that you know is probably better for you in the long run because you "just don't feel like it".
I don't think mine is that bad on the overall scale, but it could definitely use a ton of improvement and fine-tuning. I'm lazy because I'm spoiled.

Drawing

Ever since I moved in, my plan was to decorate my apartment with pictures I drew/painted.
Then I found out I would have zero time. Today, I finally said "fuck it", and dedicated the night to drawing. So here it is. It's from a manga called Sexy Commando Gaiden.
I bought two India ink pens, one thick and one thin, to do this.
The way manga artists use shadows has always intrigued me. I know it's super basic to a real artist, but yeah. It's hard to make deep shadows in cloth look natural. I chose to do this drawing cause it leaves a TON of room for error. If you fuck up, just slobber more ink all around it and it looks even better.

Warren Buffett
"I know people who have a lot of money," he says, "and they get testimonial dinners and hospital wings named after them. But the truth is that nobody in the world loves them. When you get to my age, you'll measure your success in life by how many of the people you want to have love you actually do love you. That's the ultimate test of how you've lived your life."
This is wise. I watched Fight Club today. The idea behind the novel/movie speaks volumes about today's society. We kill ourselves trying to impress each other, when we should just be fucking each other.

Life Tip: Frozen Fruits
Here's a new life tip. Buy frozen fruits.
I use them for:
1. Cereal. Just take them out the freezer, plop a few in, and bam. Your cereal stays cold/refreshing, and you have instant fruit. Once you get used to cereal with lots of fruit, just cereal sucks.
2. Shakes. Like fruit shakes or protein shakes. Easy and makes it cold, don't even need icecubes.

Life
It's been twenty days now since I moved in. Thoughts:
1. It's not as lonely as I thought it would be. Or maybe I'm just used to it. No problems with loneliness so far.
2. Cooking and cleaning takes up so much time. Being a housewife is a full ass time job (with kids at least).
3. Need more free time. I was going to decorate the walls myself, but I have no real time to make anything. Walls are just bare, maybe forever. Someone bring me some nice things to put up.
4. Desire to be balling slowly rising, sorta. I look around and all I see is the lowest grade of everything. (Cheapest table possible, cheapest tv possible, cheapest bed possible..etc) But so far still fine with it.

Fact or Fiction?
New place is great.
But there is a problem.
Patio is infested with flies. Open the door for 3 seconds, two flies come in.
I must get rid of these flies.
Plan is to put up a huge mosquito net along the outside perimeter of the patio. Then it wouldn't really be "outside", but I can't think of a better solution.
I also heard hanging bags of water deters flies, but I don't belive it. This concept is apparently very hotly debated (was even on Mythbusters where it was said to be false), does anyone have experience trying this?
ANYWAY, if you have any advice on making my porch fly-free, let me know.
Fly stickers won't work, too many. Fly traps won't work, don't want thousands of flies coming and getting trapped ad-nauseum.

Hello
So, eventful day.
Osama died, and I moved into my new place.
However, manager says this room needs to be fumigated soon.
How long does that take? Anyone know?

Success

I guess my last post was confusing. It was a quote from the Simpsons.
Anyway, it looks like I'm finally going to be moving out. Found a great apartment that's not shady and cheap and quiet. It was listed on Craiglist two days ago, and today I met the owner. Really nice guy, not shady at all, everything looks good.
One issue though is that it has no refrigerator so I'm going to be buying one. It's crazy that new ones go for 500-1000 dollars, but there are plenty on Craigslist for 100-150 dollars. I don't know if there's anything particularly important about refrigerators that I have to look out for. If anyone knows any insider tips on buying refrigerators, please leave a comment.
I really don't get why people spend money on new cars. Used cars are the way to go people!

Apartment Hunting
Today I visited a studio apartment that was for subletting for the next three months. 725/month in a semi-ghetto neighborhood. I check out the area/room, and it's almost too good to be true. Quiet, security patrol at night, bomb parking space, etc. There were, however, three things that bothered me.
1. Person drove a very nice Benz.
2. One of the windows was destroyed "by a neighbor".
3. The apartment was checked out by tons of people (according to him, and I believe him after apartment hunting for a couple months), and none of them took it.
4. Upon asking why he was renting it out, he said he was going out of town for a couple months.
Any thoughts?

Oy
An inescapable feeling of restlessness and shittiness permeates my every day. The only time I don't feel it is when I'm making money or working out. Feels like I wasn't meant to live this way, like there's a path I should be on and I'm not on it.
Going nuts!

FIOS?
Anyone have any experience with FIOS ? Family is sick of the problems with our cable, and I heard it was really good. If you have, a comment would be nice. Thanks.

entropy
the entire universe is one big chemical reaction
it can be stated as such:
chaos <---> order
The Keq is something like .0000000000000000000000000001, meaning that the equilibrium heavily heavily favors chaos.
But there still exists that sliver of order. We are that order in the highest form (For now).
